Why Belgium?

...This is a question I've been getting asked a lot recently when I tell people where I will be studying next semester. While I could answer by explaining how I've spent my entire life dreaming of studying in Brussels or that I'm half Belgian and I want to visit my long lost relatives (*both false*), the truth is, I chose to study in Brussels on a whim and this will be an entirely new adventure for me. So for all of you out there wondering "Why Belgium?..." here's what I have to say to you: Why NOT Belgium!? It's the capital of Europe, home to the European Union, famous for exquisite chocolate, beer, and of course, waffles. Who wouldn't want to go spend a semester expanding their knowledge about international affairs in the European capital while simultaneously expanding their waistlines with delicious food?

So bear with me as I, Jenna Wollemann, attempt to conquer the blogosphere for the first time from Brussels, Belgium this semester. Brace yourself, I leave in 6 days!
